Oi pessoal,
Nesta cena do filme "O noivo da minha melhor amiga" ou em inglês "Something Borrowed", a atriz Kate Hudson se confunde ao dizer "than me".

Assista a cena com e sem a legenda (em inglês claro para praticar o listening) e depois veja a explicação abaixo. Qualquer dúvida de vocabulário, mande um comentário.


Um exemplo para vocês entenderem melhor a diferença:

Isto significa que o meu marido gosta mais de filmes do que de mim.

Shepherd's Pie

A Shepherd's pie é uma torta típica da Irlanda. Para fazê-la, basta refogar a carne na manteiga com a cebola, sal, pimenta, caldo de carne e outros temperos a gosto. Depois, misture com os legumes. 

Quando a carne estiver pronta, coloque em uma travessa e cubra com o purê de batatas. 

Pronto! É só gratinar.

Legumes - cenouras picadas, milho, ervilhas ...

Batatas (para fazer um purê)

Independence Day - July 4th

O "Independence Day" (Dia da Independência) ou "Fourth of July" (4 de julho) é um dos feriados mais importantes dos Estados Unidos. Foi esse o dia em que os Estados Unidos decretou sua independência da Inglaterra em 1776. Para celebrar o 4 de julho, os americanos costumam fazer churrasco, soltar fogos e cantar músicas patrióticas.

Conheça um pouco mais desta história cantando o hino nacional americano.
